A new range of five accessories for ferrets, some of which are suitable for rats and chinchillas, have just become available from Trixie UK. The new range includes a Climbing Tree, Suspension Bridge, Roller, Cushy Tunnel and Hammock. The products provide the pet with climbing, play and cosy sleeping areas. These accessories are brilliant for providing environmental enrichment for the pet as well as a little comfort for rest times!

The Climbing Tree for Ferrets accessory is a scratching post to be used for playing, climbing and clawing. The tree has three plush covered platforms, several sisal posts areas and a cave/tunnel hide-a-way at the bottom. The total height of the post is 93cm and it is sold in a universal beige colour. Also great fun is the Suspension Bridge for Ferrets, which is suitable for ferrets, rats and chinchillas. It measures 35 x 15cm and arrives fully assembled. The suspension bridge comprises of a wooden ladder with 6 rungs, a rope ladder with 3 rungs, a cotton play rope, cotton ring and bell. This ‘leisure centre’ for ferrets simply clips to the roof of the cage. The Suspension Bridge for Ferrets has an RRP of just £6.25.

There are two more products that hook on the inside of the cage, the Cushy Tunnel (20 x 45cm) and the Cushy Hammock (45 x 45cm), both of which are made from nylon and are lined with extra soft imitation sheepskin padding. The Cushy Tunnel is enclosed with access at both ends and the Cushy Hammock is open at the top. Both product are brown/beige in colour and washable at 30 °C. The final product to mention is the Roller toy (6.9 cm), which is an open wooden toy, containing a bell. The toy is easy for the animal to roll and also to pick up with its teeth. As with the other four new products this toy is suitable for rats and chinchillas as well as ferrets. The retail price is just £1.85 for the Roller toy.
