A unique cat activity toy, designed my Helena Dbaly, is now available in the UK from Trixie. Cat Activity Fun Board is a cleverly designed moulded plastic board measuring 30 x 40cm with non-slip feet. The board offers five areas for cats to use in different ways to retrieve treats, play and exercise their minds. The toy provides valuable physical exercise and mental stimulation to cats and kittens and also to older or less active cats. 

Cat Activity Fun Board offers the industry something new and fresh for the spring/summer season (when many new kittens are around).  The product is sturdy, well made and dishwasher safe. The board contains five elements for activity/play offering different levels of difficulty. At one end of the board is the ‘Globe Module’ containing four clear bowls similar to mini goldfish bowls. The transparent element of this section offers a special challenge for cats. As dry treats fall back into the globe the noise allows the cat to locate them creating extra stimulation. The four clear globes in this section can be easily removed for cleaning.

Moving along the board from the ‘Globe Module’ is the ‘Peg Module’, containing 32 fixed upright pegs. In this section, cats can see the treat, but have to work out a route to retrieve it from the network of pegs. Next comes the ‘Alley Module’ consisting of two curved alleys. For this section, cats need to lie down and use their paws to turn the treat through the curves. The ‘Tongue Module’ toward the opposite end of the board is suitable for liquid treats or even water. This section contains 20 recesses in different sizes, at different levels and at different angles. In this area cats have to use their tongue to access the contents.

One last area of the board to mention is the ‘Tunnel Element’, which is below the Tongue Module and provides an open ended  ‘mouse hole effect’. Here cats have the chance to use their whole paw to hide or retrieve toys or treats down the tunnel.
