Co-author Francesca Riccomini graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London and spent many years in small animal practice before gaining a Post-Graduate Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from Southampton University and specialising in Behaviour Medicine. Her qualifications and experience in the field are long and impressive.

Second author Claire Arrowsmith is a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and runs her own behavioural consultancy. She holds an Honours degree in Zoology and a Masters degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare. Claire has worked in animal rescue and with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and features on the expert panel of Your Dog magazine.
