CASCO has returned from Interzoo with a success story under its belt. The CASCO stand at Interzoo 2008 was busy from the very start of the show right through to the end of the last day. Even with 16 CASCO personnel, plus interpreters, everybody was continuously tied up dealing with questions from interested parties. Quotes where given and bookings made at the show for store refits including display aquariums, animal housing and other specialist store fittings. Follow-up meetings where arranged all over Europe.

CASCO last exhibited at Interzoo 10-years ago, so were not sure what to expect at the 2008 show. However, the company’s wildest expectations where fulfilled and even the show display equipment was sold leaving CASCO very little to transport. Three 40-foot lorries left CASCO’s European production unit for Germany, but less than half a lorry load of just promotional material returned!

Matthew Bubear COO in Europe for CASCO said after the show, “We had a phenomenal show. From their comments, retailers were clearly impressed with the innovation offered by CASCO. People were interested in the new designs of open and airy animal enclosures and the new LED display lighting. LCD television screens in the back of display aquariums were totally new as were the varieties of stunning and dramatic theatre tank options on display”. A prototype of a totally new selling concept, set to take the industry by storm, was also unveiled. This concept will be seen in the UK at GLEE later this year!

Interzoo was a significant show as it was the first coming together of the CASCO and Aquastyl brands under one banner. CASCO Group recently acquired the European holding company Korail Group that included the Aquastyl brand known across Europe for high-class pet and aquatic shop fittings and installations.

CASCO Europe is based in the UK with divisions in the US and also mainland Europe. Interzoo was the first time representatives from CASCO and Aquastyl worked together at a show. Although some CASCO and Aquastyl people meet for the first time at Interzoo, they worked seamlessly as a team.

The Korail Group acquisition gives CASCO Group an undisputed position of dominance making it the biggest company of its kind in the global pet market and also the largest operator in Europe. The recent amalgamation of two strong ‘shop fitting’ brands and the opportunity to expand further in Europe meant Interzoo was set to be an exciting show. The exposure Interzoo gave CASCO and the amount of follow-ups created has laid the groundwork for a very busy period for the company.
