US brand Chuckit has taken a fresh look at the basic ball to produce the Wheelie which is a ball with wheels built into the mould during manufacturing. The Wheelie is made of a bright orange natural rubber and is hollow like the company’s Fetch Ball, but with the addition of two discs in each side that act as wheels. The Wheelie ball is 2.5 inch in diameter and the wheels are slightly larger to allow the ball to roll freely. Wheelie is designed to be used with the Chuckit medium ball launchers. The ball is ideal for small spaces and works better in short grass.

CEO Matthew Bubear is now in total control of the European operation. Bubear launched CASCO Europe in 1997 on the back of the US model and the businesses have worked closely since that time with some co-ownership and further acquisitions in Europe. The announcement regards Europe has quickly followed that of the sale of CASCO in the US to North American Pet Products (announced in January). Putting CASCO Europe solely in the hands of Matthew Bubear is a positive development as it will allow the European Division to progress freely with its individuality in providing innovation in design and an unrivaled standard of customer care.
